We need more contributors, so...

Poor Mike and Jason, they don't get much help on here. So, I'll take a minute to add to the blog and say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you my favoritest classmates of all time. God bless you all, and may Santa bless you as well in a much more temporal way!

January Lunch.....

OK so, I got called to Cali for a "end of year" meeting and couldn't make it on Friday but, since my name was throw out in the previous post, I will take the ball and run with it(yep, that's my BYU football reference)

Next Lunch will be:
Friday January 18th 2008
Goodwood BBQ
777 University Pkwy
Orem, UT 84097
(801) 224-1962

This will give Joe another chance at Goodwood, since he missed it last month!

See you in Vegas. . . .

Ribs or noodles?

There were all of six of us at the lunch this time: Todd, Tracy, Jamie, Marcus, Kent, and your favorite blogger.

Goodwood was packed and the wait would have been problematic for some of us, so we actually ended up at Noodles and Co. Hopefully none of you went to Goodwood and didn't see anybody.

For January, two suggestions were made: Goodwood in Orem, and La Vigna (formerly Ottavios) in American Fork. We'll let Mike figure it out.

It would probably be the 18th. We'll see what Mike wants to do. Hmm, Mike, we missed you.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Las Vegas Bowl!

Car pool to Goodwood?

For those of you who work in Utah County and plan to go to the December lunch, I'm willing to organize a car pool.

I can get four people in my car (assuming one is somewhat slight…Paul?), or if demand is high enough, I could perhaps get the minivan for the day, or a second driver can pitch in. I work in Lindon, just north of Home Depot. We could meet at the Park and Ride and leave at 11:40 a.m. on the 14th.

Everyone who wants to join in can pitch in a dollar. If you are interested, add a comment to this post.

Touchdown!!!

nuff said!

BBQ anyone?

Monday, November 26, 2007

That was my idea

Looks like the Daily Herald stole my idea... :)

I was thinking how I missed the days when the Zoobies would wipe out the Utes every year. But, I think beating them in the last seconds is more cruel.

More T-Shirts

Clearly I have been giving too much attention to my own blog since the dawn of October. I don’t want to loose Mike’s trust. I’ll make insightful contributions more often. Assuming I have any.

I’m not a funny man, and I don’t play one on TV. Still, I’ll make an effort to continue the T-Shirt discussion. At the very least, my effort will make Marcus look like a complete comedic genius!

  1. Is it true the 49ers want to return Alex Smith to the Utes?
  2. U of U: Easy to Spell, Hard to Understand
  3. BYU: Heisman Trophy Winner. National Championship. Better Stadium. Legendary Coach. Any questions?
  4. We can excuse Ute fans living in the past, because they have no future.
  5. The University of Utah: Sending Students Back to Parent’s Basements for Decades
  6. Crimson Club? Are we Alabama or something?
  7. Crimson Club? Was Alcoholics Anonymous already taken?
  8. Hillary Can Be President, As Long as the Utes Always Lose…Oh wait.
  9. Johnny Harline is STILL open (couldn’t resist)

T-shirts for the big game

Very well, Mike. As I'm in the process of not working because I'm all excited about going to the BYU-TCU game tonight, I will blog about the T-shirts that would be appropriate for our upcoming reunion at the BYU-U of U game.

1. (as mentioned) "My friends from the U of U went to Vegas, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. Would a touch down or field goal have been too much to ask?"

2. The University of Utah: Where smoking Paote is not just an ancient Ute ritual.

3. BYU: Signing payroll checks for University of Utah graduates everywhere.

4. Utes, The Mickey Mouse club called. They want their fight song back. (Seriously. Next time you hear the UofU fight song, think M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. There is a striking resemblence.)

5. Jonny Harline is still open.

Ok, I'm lame and don't have any more. More posters should help me out.

Lunch and Munch

So, just a friendly reminder that the Group Lunch is coming up Next Friday the 16th, I will not be there, as I will be sitting in a conference room eating conference food for 6 days. but hey, these two may be there
OK, probally not

Any who, someone else, like say hmm.... KENT BESAW, can create a post of the lunch next Friday and let us all know how it went.

Thanks Kent for volunteering.

P.S. I have really enjoyed reading all the posts on here from those who have access to create posts. all 1 of them. Thanks Jason! Now come on, you really don't want to have to read the drivel that I write! Marcus, you always have great insight, like the shirt you are going to wear to the U of U game, do share

P.S.S You will have more fun than this at the monthly lunch:Ya, we'll let you sit down as well as undue your tie...

A Few Points

First, we had a great time at lunch today! for those of you that couldn't make it, we are sorry. However, we had a good time without you. You may have even been able to meet this guy:

Anyway the next lunch will be on Friday November 16th, check the box to the right for the info.

Now for the important stuff, It was suggested that for the festive Holiday month of December, instead of lunch on Friday December 14th, that we have a "get together" that evening. So we are soliciting your feedback, post a comment to this post with the following:

Are you interested?

Do you like egg nogg?

If you are Dave Anderson, will you be willing to entertain us with another song?

White elephant gift exchange ya or nay?

Friday, October 5, 2007

You could have lunch with this guy! Really!

Just another shameless plug for the Monthly Lunch at Noodles & Company in Draper.
Friday, October 19th @12 noon

For those of you that don't get full at Noodles & Company, Joe is organizing a group(dare we say excursion) to head over to Goodwood right after. might I suggest the Onion Rings.....

By the way, it's good to see the Europe Trip has more votes over there on our highly scientific poll.

Along those lines, I would like to hear what you would like to have included on this blog(I mean besides insightful pictures of your classmates like above) so please do share your hopes and desires with us.

Also, any of you that are willing to offer your insights and create posts for this blog, let me know and I will give you rights to do so. Otherwise, your stuck with drivel like this!

Good Eats

Friends, we owe Mike a debt of gratitude for leading the charge on this. He clearly gained valuable leadership skills through the EMBA program.

Our first lunch in September was great fun, but we didn't see nearly enough of you. So do what you can to attend this lunch. I personally will be flying to the Big Apple on the 19th, so sadly I'll be unable to attend. Unless you have such an excuse, be there!

October Monthly Lunch

191 E 12300 S, Draper, UT
